Former seat of zamindar Srishchandra Nandi, a vassal of the Cooch Behar raja, and later his sons. The house was first built of tin and later rebuilt in brick; the two-storey main block has timber-boarded ceilings, with a pond, betel-nut groves and a mosque around it.
